Jean Leong brings into Java™ technology training over a decade of experience in object-oriented (OO) development, analysis and design. Originally a Smalltalk developer, Jean has worked in every stage of the software development process for a variety of businesses, from small non-profits to global consumer giants.
As a senior instructor at Sun Microsystems, Jean taught almost every Java course in their catalog, from introductory courses for non-programmers, to Java EE architecture, design patterns, and web services, in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. She has also helped develop courseware, consulted as a subject matter expert for sales and marketing teams, and mentored other trainers. Her clients include Colgate-Palmolive, Goldman Sachs, ITT, Lehman Bros, and government agencies in the U.S. and Canada.
Jean delivers enthusiasm, as well as knowledge, into the classroom. Her students have consistently rated her as a top-flight instructor throughout her years of training.
