RH401 - Red Hat Enterprise Deployment and Systems Management

Red Hat Enterprise Deployment and Systems Management (RH401) is a four-day lab-based course that explores the concepts and methods necessary for successful large-scale deployment and management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. Experienced system administrators learn how to implement and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux deployments efficiently and effectively, in ways that make their systems manageable by a team of administrators. Central to the course is hands-on training in the use of the Red Hat Network Satellite Server for deployment and provisioning of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. By the end of this course, students will have built their own RPM packages and will have used Subversion to make changes to scripts.

CL-400 - Administering Lustre Based Clusters

The Administering Lustre Based Clusters course is intended for system administrators, architects, and integrators who are interested in deploying Lustre installations and/or performing configuration management. This 5-day class covers installation, best practices, and demonstrations focused on deployment of services and project management procedures. All aspects of configuration, from very simple test clusters to very complex installations featuring failover and multiple networks, will be reviewed.

RH423 - Red Hat Enterprise Directory Services and Authentication

RH423 Red Hat Enterprise Directory Services and Authentication is an intensive course that provides four days of instruction and labs on cross-platform integration of directory services to provide authentication or information service across the enterprise using the Red Hat Directory Server.

ES-411 - Sun SPARC Enterprise MX000 Server Administration

The Sun SPARC Enterprise MX000 Server Administration course is presented as instructor- led training in a classroom. This course provides students with the skill set necessary to identify the features and architecture specifics of the Sun SPARC Enterprise M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000/M9000 with Expansion Cabinet servers. These skills include performing configuration and platform administration methodologies supported by Sun on these Sun servers and being familiar with and using troubleshooting tools and techniques available within the Solaris Operating System (OS) relevant to this server line. The hands-on labs offered in this course might involve accessing equipment that resides at a location other than where the training is delivered. Students will not have physical access to this equipment.

RH436 Red Hat Enterprise Clustering and Storage Management provides intensive hands-on experience with storage management, Red Hat Cluster Suite, and the Shared Storage technology delivered by Red Hat Global File System™ (GFS). RHD251 - Red Hat Linux Programming

SI-365-S10 - Solaris 10 Operating System Internals

The Solaris 10 Operating System Internals course provides students with information about the various kernel subsystems, routines, and structures that make up the Solaris 10 Operating System. Students will use Solaris Dynamic Tracing (DTrace) to step through process creation, execution, signal delivery, and scheduling, correlating observations with source code available through OpenSolaris. The labs make extensive use of dtrace,kmdb, and mdb commands to examine the system structures on live systems. The labs also make use of OpenSolaris web access to facilitate understanding how the Operating System works. The kernel subsystems covered include the multithreaded architecture, virtual memory, scheduling, process lifetime, signal management, the vnode layer, and file systems such as UFS, ZFS and swapfs.

RHD361 - Red Hat Enterprise Linux Kernel Internals I:

This hands-on course provides an intensive and low-level examination of the Linux kernel architecture, including process scheduling,memory management, and I/O. Topics covered in this course are useful for understanding more advanced performance tuning concepts, like those presented in RH442 Red Hat Enterprise System Monitoring and Performance Tuning. You will also gain an understanding of how device drivers interact with the kernel.

ST-350 - Sun Systems Fault Analysis Workshop

The Sun Systems Fault Analysis Workshop teaches system administrators and field engineers how to analyze faults, perform diagnostics analysis, and use Suns Predictive Self-Healing technology and DTrace toolkit for the SPARC-based and x86-based Solaris computing environments. These skills directly translate to higher availability levels and increased uptime of the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS). The course provides instruction in the use of a fault analysis method, platform-based diagnostic tools, and the fault isolation capabilities of the Service Management Facility and Fault Management Architecture as well as providing hands-on fault isolation practice in the workshops.
