In this course, you gain the knowledge critical to properly implement and manage these important capabilities in the Solaris Operating System. The hands-on labs offered in this course involve accessing equipment that resides at a location other than where the training is delivered.

The Dynamic Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting with DTrace course provides students with the ability to use DTrace to diagnose application and system problems. This course replaces SA-325-S10. LAB INFORMATION: The hands-on labs offered in this course may involve accessing equipment that resides at a location other than where the training is delivered.

RH302 - Red Hat Certified Engineer Lab Exam

The Certification Lab Exam is bundled with the RH300 RHCE Rapid Track Course, but may be taken separately. Prospective enrollees in RH302 should consider taking one or more of Red Hat's RHCE courses in preparation for the exam, but these courses are not required. Candidates are also advised that real-world system administration experience is an important aspect of preparation for the exam, and that study without such experience is unlikely to result in success.

SA-245 - Shell Programming for System Administrators

The Shell Programming for System Administrators course provides students with the skills to read, write, and debug UNIX shell scripts. The course begins by describing simple scripts to automate frequently executed commands and continues by describing conditional logic, functions, user interaction, loops, menus, and traps. This course is intended for system administrators who have mastered the basics of a UNIX Operating System (OS) such as the Solaris 10 OS or Linux and who would like to read and understand the various boot scripts and write their own scripts to automate their day-to-day tasks. This course explores, in detail, the Bourne and Korn shell scripting languages.

RH318 - Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization

The Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization course (RH318) arms professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to deploy and manage Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization technologies. This extensive hands-on training course explores the virtualization features of Red Hat Enterprise Linux with the advanced Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization platform. Upon completion of RH318, students can effectively create, deploy, manage, and migrate Linux and Microsoft Windows virtual machines hosted on either Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers or dedicated hypervisor nodes using Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager.

RH401 - Red Hat Enterprise Deployment and Systems Management

Red Hat Enterprise Deployment and Systems Management (RH401) is a four-day lab-based course that explores the concepts and methods necessary for successful large-scale deployment and management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. Experienced system administrators learn how to implement and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux deployments efficiently and effectively, in ways that make their systems manageable by a team of administrators. Central to the course is hands-on training in the use of the Red Hat Network Satellite Server for deployment and provisioning of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. By the end of this course, students will have built their own RPM packages and will have used Subversion to make changes to scripts.
